I never thought about it, but this is so true. We only fear rejection because at some point we were alone, we only fear the dark because that’s where we thought (or still do think) that monsters live, we only fear ourselves because of what we’ve done to ourselves in the past. I never realized, but one of the best ways to learn about someone is through their fears because not only does it tell you about them now, but it shows you the deepest, darkest parts of their pasts, and they may not even realize it.
